rough day!
what I knew would be a full day began with a very rocky start. I completely screwed up. I had a video shoot first thing this am. well i thought i was prepared but it turns out I had lost a mono plug converter. ya i know most of u are sayin wth is that? it connects a cable to my camera so it can capture sound thru a mic. it’s about $2 and kinda important. ROLL TIDE ROLL
so i had the amazing luck to score tickets from a few arkie co-workers to the ark v bama game this past weekend. it was quite the experience. i have to say, i was forewarned that the crowd was mean. but i really figured it wasnt anything i couldnt handle.
now, ive experienced hostile crowd before but these guys were complete jerks. it wasnt even about the game for them. it was personal....

Doughnut's Game
Doughnut had a football game last night. they played cave springs. it was a back and forth game but in the end, THEY WON!! i hafta tell ya, they all played with heart! i was such a stinkin proud mama. ;)

BEANS BDAY!
today just happens to be my baby Beans’ birthday! hes reached the ripe old age of 10! Double digits man! happy birthday sweetie!
we are planning a bash at la hacienda this weekend. the theme? CARNIVAL should be a grand ole time with plenty for the kiddos to enjoy. i have to thank Trav for his fantabulous help with the invite typography and layout. it looks amazing :)

so Doughnut had another game last night, and although it was a sad loss, i hafta say D did an amazing job out there tackling. i haven’t had the privilege to watch him play that well before. i was such a proud mama!

discovering Jackson
Thursday we explored downtown. we walked up and down the boardwalk.
We first stopped at a souvineer shop that had an art gallery in the back. had some fantastic photography of wildlife. we ventured down to a store that caught our eye called Von foss. great gourmet oils vinegars and spices in as much qty as you desire. then we stopped and got a scoop of sorbet. guava for me yummo! and blackberry...

workin on the farm
wednesday, vegan mama and I ventured out to work at Blue Flax Farm in Victor, Idaho. we had to drive ‘the teton pass’. it connects wyoming, to idaho. let me tell you, this road is steep and curvy. not for the faint of heart. i couldnt imagine driving that frightening road to work daily.

on the way home
after the hike, we went to Signal Mountain Lodge to have a dinner and
a drink. there was an adorable little gift shop there, where I picked up post cards to send home to the boys.
vegan mama drove us home and decided to take a different scenic route home.
the drive was pleasant and was only interrupted by the other cars stopping to take pictures of the wildlife.
maybe I’m a bit jaded...

family hike day
tuesday was family hike day. papa smurf took pity on me and chose an easy trail. thank god.
we took a 3 mile hike to Hidden Falls in the Grand Teton National Park. it
was stunning!
I have to say the hike is not what bothered me. my legs-even two days
later-haven’t even gotten sore. it was the altitude that almost killed me.

fathers day
yes I know I’m working backwards here, but I wanted to share what a lovely day we had. my fam had a cook out which is a norm for the summertime. the catch was that I did the grilling.

tonight I made one of our favorite dishes. linguini with roasted garlic and cheese cream sauce. here’s the recipe… enjoy!
1 lb linguini
3 heads of garlic
6 tbsp unsalted sweet cream butter
1 pint heavy cream
1 cup grated havarti
