I had a video shoot first thing this am. well i thought i was prepared but it turns out I had lost a mono plug converter. ya i know most of u are sayin wth is that? it connects a cable to my camera so it can capture sound thru a mic. it’s about $2 and kinda important. I was in tears over this stupid...
ROLL TIDE ROLL

workin on the farm
wednesday, vegan mama and I ventured out to work at Blue Flax Farm in Victor, Idaho. we had to drive ‘the teton pass’. it connects wyoming, to idaho. let me tell you, this road is steep and curvy. not for the faint of heart. i couldnt imagine driving that frightening road to work daily. this small and gorgeous farm is owned by Megan, where she practices organic farming and she...
on the way home
after the hike, we went to Signal Mountain Lodge to have a dinner and a drink. there was an adorable little gift shop there, where I picked up post cards to send home to the boys. vegan mama drove us home and decided to take a different scenic route home. the drive was pleasant and was only interrupted by the other cars stopping to take pictures of the wildlife. maybe I’m a bit jaded...
family hike day
tuesday was family hike day. papa smurf took pity on me and chose an easy trail. thank god. we took a 3 mile hike to Hidden Falls in the Grand Teton National Park. it was stunning! I have to say the hike is not what bothered me. my legs-even two days later-haven’t even gotten sore. it was the altitude that almost killed me. I swear my chest was squeezing my lungs so hard the hiker next...
yes I know I’m working backwards here, but I wanted to share what a lovely day we had. my fam had a cook out which is a norm for the summertime. the catch was that I did the grilling. shocker i know! I usually do marinades but I leave the grilling to the charcoal kings. I made three different marinades, lemon basil, lemon pepper, and cilantro lime and garlic. they turned out fantastic! I...

we awoke this morning to find that our poor little kitty Fluffykins (well my youngest son Cheese’s kitten actually) had passed away during the night. poor Cheese. such a young age and a tender heart. I had the task of waking him and breaking the bad news. who wants to wake up and hear that?? heartbreaking news, but whats worse is that we had been bottle feeding this poor little calico runt for...
